We prepare food in the kitchen and make sure it\u2019s healthy, nutritious and hygienic. But Vaastu is a major factor that should be kept in mind for kitchen remodeling or while setting up a kitchen.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t expect your house to be fully compatible in accordance with Vastu Shastra and that\u2019s just okay, but you should try your best to remodel it according to Vastu when you have the opportunity and when you can.<\/p>\n

The kitchen should ideally be located in the South-Eastern part of the house. The ruling planet of the Kitchen is Venus, and Fire is the ruling element of the kitchens structure. Plan it such that it is not located under or above the pooja room, toilet or bedroom. It should ideally be in the South-East corner of the main building or flat.<\/p>\n
The entrance door should not be placed in any of the corners. Place them in the East, the North or the West for best results.<\/p>\n
The Kitchen platform should be placed in the East or South-East corner of the house.<\/p>\n
The oven or gas burner should be placed in the South-East corner, within few inches away from the wall. Avoid keeping the gas burner right in front of the main door of the kitchen; try to keep it in a place such that, while cooking, you ideally face towards the East.<\/p>\n
Try keeping the sink or basin in the north-east corner and at the far end of the kitchen. The pitcher or water filter and related utensils should be in placed in the North-East or the North side of the kitchen. Keep the light utensils in the East or the North side<\/p>\n
For proper ventilation place one (or two, if space permits) windows or air vents in the East and the West directions of the kitchen. An exhaust fan or a kitchen chimney can also be installed for this purpose.<\/p>\n
Keep microwave oven, mixer, grinder etc. in an \u2018L\u2019 shape near the South wall, it is believed to be auspicious when kept their.<\/p>\n
If you have got a refrigerator inside your kitchen, then place it in the South-East, South or West or North directions. Although avoid placing it in the North-East direction. If it is in the South-West direction it should be a foot away from the corner, otherwise it may need constant repairs.<\/p>\n
Storage for essential commodities like grain, spices, pulses etc. should be kept in storage places placed in the South or the West direction.<\/p>\n
Usually kitchens do not accommodate a dinning table, but If your kitchen is a modular or it is combined with your living room, then there is a possibility of that, in that case keep your dining table in\u00a0 the North-West or the West side of the room.<\/p>\n
You may pick dark colors like yellow, orange, rose, chocolate or red. However, avoid the black color on your floors.<\/p>\n
The position of kitchen is vital and if it is in the North-East direction, it may result in mental tensions and you may suffer great losses. If the kitchen is in the South-West direction, domestic harmony gets disrupted. If the kitchen is in the North-West direction, expenditure of the household might increase. A kitchen in the North part of the house is most dangerous, as this position is considered to be Kubera\u2019s place. The kitchen, therefore, may lead to unnecessary expenses.<\/p>\n
After whole days work you should properly clean your kitchen and utensils before sleeping, not only to prevent unwanted pests to ply on your kitchen but also to avoid any unpleasant force inside your house.<\/p>\n
