Always\nremember that the fraud ones will try to lure you, but you need to judge them\nwell before accepting any of their offers. And that\u2019s what I am going to\ndiscuss in today\u2019s post. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But before\nwe talk about how to prevent getting scammed by movers and packers, let\u2019s check\nthe most common scams and fraud that the movers and packer may do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over billing<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This is the\nmost common scams because at the end, it\u2019s always about the money. They will\nstart small and then they will increase the quoted prices. The most common\nexcuse being the handling charges, extra goods, change in route and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So whenever\nyou are considering or negotiating with a movers and packers company to\nrelocate your home, office, car or anything, just don\u2019t fall for the lowest\nprice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It does not\nmean you should not negotiate; you have every right to negotiate with them, but\nthen observe the estimate being submitted. Ideally you should ask for quotation\nand proforma invoice, so that you can understand the actual costs of all heads,\nincluding taxes, insurance etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dubious\nmovers and packers will share an estimate, and once you have hired them, they\nwill submit the invoice with different figures. Ideally, you should get a detailed\nquotation with overall costs mentioned on it.
