And if anything, this outbreak has suddenly forced us all to maintain\nproper hygiene and cleanliness at our home and work place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Suddenly the demands for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.servicesutra.com\/home-sanitization\"><strong>home and office sanitizing services<\/strong><\/a> have increased many folds, and unfortunately, there are not enough sanitizing companies out there to take up all the jobs due to surge in demands. But disinfecting is about cleaning germs and bacteria that you can\u2019t really see and identify otherwise. And therefore, it is important to ensure that your house is getting cleaned and disinfected every day. Here\u2019s a detailed household <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" label=\"cleaning and sanitizing guideline by CPC (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/healthywater\/emergency\/cleaning-sanitizing\/household-cleaning-sanitizing.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\">cleaning and sanitizing guideline by CPC<\/a> that you may like to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of us already have a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.servicesutra.com\/blog\/weekly-house-cleaning-schedule-working-moms\/\">daily and weekly cleaning schedule<\/a><\/strong> that we all follow. And due to this COVID-19 outbreak, I am sure we are suddenly more aware and attentive to our home and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.servicesutra.com\/kolkata\/office-cleaning\">office cleaning<\/a> needs. But in similar way, we need to adopt home disinfecting practices to ensure that our home and offices are virus-free and safe for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the researchers are to be believed then pathogens can\nstay alive on a surface for up to 24 hours or even more in some cases. They have\ndifferent longevity at different surfaces, but in general most of the pathogens\nand virus can stay on a surface for 24 hours or so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, that is an eye opener and enough reason for us to\nensure that your home if virus and pathogen free, and to do so, you need to\ndisinfect the most affected and exposed areas and corners of your home.\nObviously the surfaces like floors, kitchen counter tops, tea table, switch\nboard etc are the more exposed areas that need disinfecting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Surfaces and objects that must be disinfected everyday<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Listed below are the areas and objects that need to be\ncleaned and disinfected to make your home virus-free:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Door handles and knobs, especially main door knobs\nand washroom knobs<\/li><li>Call bell switch and outside main door handles<\/li><li>Dining table surface, along with chairs from all\nsides<\/li><li>Tea table and carpet<\/li><li>Kitchen and washroom counters tops<\/li><li>Faucets in kitchen and washrooms<\/li><li>Light switch board and switches<\/li><li>Remote control<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3>How to clean and disinfect your home objects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ideally, you should clean these objects first and then disinfect.\nYou can start by dusting, followed by moping of these objects using dusting\nclothes, and then apply a suitable cleanser to clean these objects properly.\nOnce it is clean, the next step is to disinfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to disinfect your home object, you can take the usual\ndisinfectant spray or solution to disinfect these objects and kill all the\npathogens, germs and bacteria. Depending on what type of disinfectant you are\nusing, you can apply it and then mop with a clean cloth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember, you have to double check all the areas of your\nhouse that is more exposed to multiple touches. Every time someone is entering\nyour house, he or she may carry bacteria and germs. So, ideally you should look\nfor outside exposure and disinfect those objects on priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just a little bit of care and caution can help you prevent a\nnumber of health concerns and disorders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>In order to keep yourself safe and protected from virus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>And it\u2019s not about just disinfecting and sanitizing your\nhome, you should also take caution and protect yourself from virus and allergy,\nand here\u2019s what you can do to keep yourself safe and protected from virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Wash your hands frequently<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I am sure, you know this, and most of us hear this several\ntimes a day these days due to COVID-19 outbreak. But, it takes times to develop\na good habit, especially when it\u2019s related to something that\u2019s not so obvious,\nand unless we realize its positive benefits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I just wanted to stress it one more time. No matter what,\nmake sure to clean your hands, several times with hand-wash, soap and then\nsanitize it as and when you touch anything that may have exposure to external touches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you manage to get hand sanitizer (suddenly the demands\nhave surge), then that\u2019s great, but if not, you can take the usual hand wash lotion\nor soap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, another important thing I want to mention and stress\nis to moisturize your hands properly after every wash, especially for those\nwith minor cracks in hands. We often get cracks due to cold weather conditions\netc, so keeping your hands moisturized after apply soap or hand wash is always\nbetter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Stay home <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The best way to keep yourself free from virus or any other\nallergy is to stay home as much as possible. Given the current situation\nbecause of COVID-19 outbreak globally, it\u2019s highly recommended to stay home,\nunless your work demands your to go out like in case of police force, medical\nprofessionals etc. But otherwise, by staying home, not only you keep yourself\nprotected, but you also keep others safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But, if you have to go outside for an essential needs like\nto buy medicine or other such reasons, then possibly you should wear masks and\navoid touching outside objects as much as possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And most importantly, when you are returning home, you\nshould immediately go to the washroom, put off your clothes, take a good shower\nand change. This is a basic hygiene practice that many of us do not follow, and\nthat not right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are seriously, serious about staying fit and healthy,\nthen you must adopt proper hygiene practices, and keep yourself clean and\ndisinfected, and your home properly sanitized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>How to make herbal sanitizer at home naturally?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As you already know, the demands of sanitizing services and\nsanitizers have increased these days due to Covid-19 pandemic. And as most of\nus are staying home, you can\u2019t really go out to buy sanitizers or it may simply\nnot be available at a nearby store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And even if, the sanitizers are available, you can make all\nnatural and herbal sanitizer at home, easily and naturally. So many people asked\nabout how to make natural and herbal sanitizer at home and therefore, I thought\nof sharing the process of making sanitizer at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, are you ready to make the all natural and chemical free sanitizer\nat home? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s, get to it<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Ingredients needed to make sanitizer at home<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all, let me share the main ingredients you need to\nmake sanitizer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A bunch of fresh neem leaves (Indian lilac)<\/li><li>About 10 grams\nof Kapoor or camphor<\/li><li>Around 10\ngrams of Fitkiri (Alum)<\/li><li>One liter of\nfresh water<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3>Process of making natural sanitizer at home<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Take a clean\npan and pour in the water and neem leaves in it and let it boil. Switch off the\nheat once the water is reduced to 500 ml.<\/li><li>Now add\nFitkiri and kappor to it<\/li><li>Stir it\nproperly and let it cool down <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your sanitizer is ready to\nuse, so just transfer it to a clean container, preferably a glass container.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>PS: this recipe is suggested by Yoga guru <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Ramdev (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ramdev\" target=\"_blank\">Ramdev<\/a> and I have personally not tested it yet.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Conclusion<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If a recent survey by word bank is to be believed, In India,\nwe are losing around 6% of our GDP because of poor hygiene practices and conditions.\nNow, that should be enough for all of us to pay attention to cleanliness and sanitizing\nneeds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have already shared a few simple ways on how to disinfect\nyour home and yourself to keep safe from virus.
