We do check for documents like Aadhar card of the owner/promoter, GST registration, trade license, website and social media credentials etc before enlisting any service provider (company) on this platform. But we do not have a process to verify each of the information physically or perform extensive screening for every service provider, in every city, and therefore we rely on the information/certificates provided by the local, state or central government.

And therefore we appeal you to use your best judgment, and exercise caution when dealing with a service provider, as you would normally do when hiring or taking a service offline.

Important safety tips to consider
  • Before finalizing any contract, it's always better to meet the service providers face to face, and discuss everything in detail to avoid any confusion or dispute.
  • Clearly understand the pricing, rates and terms of services like hidden costs, additional tax, charge, surchage etc.
  • Always insist on getting consolidated estimates/quotation in written form to avoid any confusion and dispute later on.
  • Think logically and practically and use your best judgment and exercise caution when hiring professionals, especially when someone offers you hard to believe low prices.
  • Always ask for original copies of all types of legal documents given by the government (e.g. trade license, Goods and Service Tax no, PAN card, proof of address documents etc) of the company/service provider and proprietor/directors, and verify its accuracy yourself.
  • Make sure to buy adequate insurance coverage for packing/moving/storage and other services.
  • Understand clearly what is covered in your insurnce along with terms, condition and process of making claims.
  • Avoid paying in cash and insist on payment through cheque, and collect payment receipts.
  • Be aware of service providers who offer cheap rates but do not have required credentials, they may not be worth it.
  • Don't pay full amount in advance. Rather workout mutually for part payments terms, especially for services that takes more than a day to complete like moving, storage, interior designing etc.
