Take one teaspoon of peppermint, one teaspoon of rosemary oils and add this mixture into two cups of water. Mix it well to make a solution and pour it into a spray bottle. Spray this repellent on the bed, mattress and also on the floors around your bed to get rid of bed bug.

Termites Traps

Among all other bugs and insects, termite is one of the most critical and dangerous bug. One of the easiest ways to get rid of termite is to dry them by exposing your furniture to direct sunlight. But you can also make traps to catch and destroy the termites. One of the easiest traps can be made using cardboard. Making cardboard trap to catch termite is simple; take a few cardboard sheets, stack them over one another and sprinkle some water on it to wet them. Now place it near the furniture where you have noticed termite. When termites enter this new trap, take it out and throw or burn it. Repeat this process till you get rid of them.

Boric acid can also be used to kill termites. Just identify the spot and sprinkle it around the affected area. Usually Boric acid is not harmful to humans but please take proper pre-cautions when using.

  • Remove old rotten wood stacks or similar dirt possibly.
  • If there are trees outside that touches your house, just trim them, else pests could use these trees like a bridge to enter your house.
  • Take care of any cracks and wholes near common entry points of pests like main entrance door or windows.
  • Encourage your neighbors, especially when you are living in modern housing societies or multi storied buildings.
  • Make it a point to clean sink and drains every week or every alternate week.
